Something a little different

This post has nothing to do with miniatures, but I had to share this as I'm currently on a visit to see the family over Christmas in Manchester and the last thing I expected to find today while out on a cold, damp and grey Mancunian street was a gaudily painted/camouflaged Volkswagen Beetle.

As they say around here"there's now't as queer as folk".

While on the subject of our Mancunian peculiarities, I finished off the day with a hearty plate of one of our local delicacies, good old fish, chips, n´ mushy-peas.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and peace and prosperity to all. May the only battles we fight be in miniature with our little toy soldiers and tanks.

  2. Ha! I had the fish, chips and mushy peas in MK last weekend. My (grown-up) children think mushy peas disgusting. But they were born here in the south.
Better still, is the meat and potato pies in Manchester. Scrumptious!

    1. Peter, my partner has the same opinion too about the mushy peas too, she thinks they are barbaric LOL.

Yep, the meat & potato pies go well with chips-n-peas too, as do those tasty cheese-n-onion ones !
